Stand-up comedian and Black-Ish writer, Jak Knight’s cause of death has been revealed!
Jak was the star and co-creator of Bust Down, who also wrote/starred in Big Mouth and had a promising future ahead of him. Unfortunately on July 14, he was found dead in Los Angeles. Knight was only 28 years old.
According to Yahoo News!, Knight reportedly died from a gunshot wound, with the incident being ruled, death by suicide in an autopsy report obtained by People.
Confirming the news of his untimely passing, his family released a statement– “Knight’s loved ones ask that their privacy please be respected during this extremely difficult time.”
Knight’s Bust Down family also released a statement saying, “We are devastated by the passing of Jak Knight. He was a brilliant comedian, visionary, and artist and we were all lucky to experience his greatness. Our hearts are with Jak’s family, friends, and community during this heartbreaking time.”
Comedy Central and many others paid tribute to the young comedian.
During his stand-up comedy, Knight opened for Dave Chapelle and Eric Andre. He also was an editor for Black-Ish and was a regular on Pause with Sam Jay.
