Daniel Ezra To Make Official Exit As A Series Regular In ‘All American’ Following Sixth Season!

Cousins! All American fans have been hit with a major bombshell this morning following confirmed reports that leading actor Daniel Ezra will no longer be a series regular after the show concludes for it’s sixth season!

Deadline reports that Daniel will reprise his role of Spencer James only making special guest appearances moving forward.

Reports read that both Daniel and ‘All American’ showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll came to a mutual decision to close out Spencer’s story ahead of the show’s sixth season.

“After making the difficult decision to leave All American, my sole focus became completing the journey of the most life-affirming character I’ve ever played in the manner he deserves. Thanks to Nkechi and the writers, I got my wish,” said Daniel in a statement to Deadline

“Season 6 is ‘Spencer’s goodbye.’ I’ll miss him. I’ll miss our cast and crew. I hope it’s been as fun to watch him as it has been to play him.”

“Partnering with Daniel Ezra over the last six seasons to bring Spencer’s story to life has been such an amazing, fulfilling, experience,” adds Nkechi.

A confirmed spoilier alert details that Spencer get drafted into the NFL followed by a time jump as fans get to see him in the Super Bowl and get engaged to Olivia.

“Daniel truly is a gift and brought so much to the character on and off the field. And while Spencer has achieved his NFL dreams, I’m grateful Daniel will still remain an important part of this family, both in front of and behind the camera as we step into a new, exciting chapter of All American..”

All American’ has recently been renewed for a seventh season. According to Tv Line, the final two episodes of Season 6 will air on Monday, July 8 as Spencer and Olivia plan their wedding.
