Cousins! As Ice Spice gears up to release her first official studio album Y2K next month, social media users have begun to notice an apparent dip in monthly listeners on Spotify!
The Bronx, New York rapper has successfully been the talk of the town since emerging into the music industry back in 2022 with her hit single ‘Munch (Feelin’ U ) ‘. The song led to major exposure on social media after receiving recognition from Drake.
In a matter of two years, Ice has collaborated with household names such as Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift. She has been able to take home major wins for ‘Best New Artist’, Breakthrough Artist, and more at the BET Awards, People Choice Awards, MTV Awards, and iHeartRadio awards.
However, with a 25 million decline in monthly listeners on Spotify, folks fear that the hype surrounding Ice has officially died down.
According to reports from Hot New Hip Hop, back in 2023 Ice successfully secured 40 million listeners oppose to now Ice has under 16 million.
The twenty four year old’s last two singles “Think U The Shit (Fart)” and “Gimmie A Light,” pulled in 83,515,444 streams in comparison to her other singles that racked up over 200+ million streams.
