Cousins! Nicki Minaj has officially canceled her scheduled tour stop in Amsterdam just a few short weeks after being arrested on allegations of carrying drugs!
“Due to the events of last week, the Nicki Minaj show on Sunday, 2nd June at Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam will no longer be taking place,” reads an issued statement on the concert promoter Mojo’s website, reports Page Six
“Tickets will be refunded at the point of sale.”
As we previously reported Nicki went on Instagram live Saturday morning May 25th as apprehended by local authorities.
Within the shared video Nicki stated that the pre-rolls that were discovered weren’t hers and that they belonged to her security.
“They said they found weed & that another group of ppl have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls. Keep in mind they took my bags without consent,” wrote Nicki .
“My security has already advised them those pre-rolls belong to him. Oh yea & the pilot wants me to take my ig post down.”
Reports read that the 41-year-old was ultimately arrested on suspicion of exporting soft drugs.
Local authorities confirm that Nicki was released within hours.
Nicki hasn’t publicly addressed her Amsterdam cancelation as of yet, leaving many of her fans on Twitter (X) quite upset.
“Nicki please why did you cancel Amsterdam’s June 2nd show😢It was the first original tour date so all the die hard day one barbz were gonna be there, we are all very sad it’s cancelled. Please give us an explanation🙏🏼💕 I am very lucky I saw u in Paris, but for others it’s sad…” wrote a social media user.
“A wrong signal to cancel your show in Amsterdam. My daughter is also very disappointed. It would have been better to indicate to all your fans that taking drugs into an airport is very unwise,” reads another tweet.
“So sad you had to cancel Amsterdam but I understand. Now I need to get a different ticket in another country. Keep going strong Nicki! This tour is breaking records. We always knew you could. Love you”
