Cousins, congratulations are in order for the man himself Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson, officially upping the playing field with a massive 956,000 square foot studio in Shreveport, Louisiana!

The Southside Jamaica Queens native says that he excited to not only change the game of media and entertainment but to also help provide jobs along with opportunities to the entire community.

“Bringing G-Unit Studios to Shreveport is more than just a business decision.”

“It’s a commitment to foster talent, to create opportunities and to invest in the community itself to build what I would need to be able execute what I’ve got going with G-Unit Studios. It’s going to create a lot of jobs,” said 50.

As hundreds of people gathered for the celebration at Government Plaza earlier this week, Mayor Tom Arceneaux also gave 50 Cent a key to the city while declaring April 18th ‘50 Cent Day,’ reports KTBS.

“And I want to remind you that betting on me is not a gamble. It’s a sure thing, because together we will make history,”said 50.

Reports read that 50 reached an agreement with old Millennium Studios in November of 2023. He is said to have officially gained possession of the building in January 2024.

Within the established agreement, G-Unit has been granted to lease the building for 30 years at a cost of $2,400 a year, reports KTBS. It has been stated that 50 will be responsible for the building’s maintenance, with an option to extend the agreement by an additional 15 years.

“My aim is to embody the spirit of conscious capitalism, to focus on creating jobs, stimulating commerce, and contributing to economic growth for this vibrant community,” said 50.
