Congratulations are in order for Angel Reese being selected at no. 7 in the 2024 WNBA draft pick held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Monday April 15th.

Angel was presented with her official No. 24 Jersey by WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert during the ceremony. Her parents Angel Webb Reese and Michael Reese alongside her brother Julian Reese were front and center to celebrate the 21 year old’s big moment.
Angel turned heads the entire night as she slayed from head to toe in a shimmering backless Black and silver gown with a deep scooped neck.
Earlier this month on April 3rd, Reese announced that she was leaving college basketball to declare for the draft. The announcement was made within an exclusive interview with Vogue magazine.
She issued an extensive thank you to her mother, teachers, managers, coaches and more for their extensive love and support over the last few years. “All of this is because of you, thank you for loving me and supporting me in everything I do,”said Angel.
“Grateful for these last four years and excited for this next chapter. #BAYOUBARBIEOUT,” wrote Angel along with a video in celebration of her four years at Louisiana State University.
“I’m leaving college with everything I’ve ever wanted,” Angel added. “——a degree, a national championship, and this platform I could have never imagined”
