Cousins! Ray J is opening up about his fourth pending divorce filing from Princess Love as he declares that their marriage has officially reached its peak!
While appearing on a recent airing of The Breakfast Club radio show, Ray expressed that his marriage hasn’t been a fun a ride for him and that he rejected his own happiness because it wasn’t a priority for him.
“I guess happiness is important, but for me, if my kids are happy, then I don’t care about happiness.”
The 43 year old says that he stayed in his marriage for the sake of their children.
“And a lot of people, ‘Hey, say you have to be happy for your kids,’ and yeah, for sure, and I feel like I have the power in my hands now.”
Ray continued,”But at the same time, the fact that we made the vow and I’m 100% I could not be happy and just ride it for the kids and figure out which years we gon’ have that’s gon be great and which aren’t. So I’m willing to not be happy to be around my kids every day.”
As we previously reported after Princess Love revealed earlier this year that she and Ray have decided to go separate ways.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our decision to divorce. After much reflection, discussion, and counseling, we have come to the difficult realization that our paths have diverged, and it is in the best interest of both of us to part ways,” read a post to Instagram.
“We want to reassure you that this decision was made thoughtfully and with mutual respect and consideration for each other’s well-being.”
The couple dated for roughly four years prior to tying the knot in 2016. Together they share a five-year-old daughter named Melody and a four-year-old son named Epik.
