Cousins! It’s officially a wrap between Porsha Williams and her international lover Simon Guobadia following reports that the reality star has filed for divorce!
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Porsha 42 filed a petition for divorce from Simon, 59 Thursday, February 22nd in Atlanta, Georgia. The couple’s split comes after fifteen months of marriage.
A source close to the couple tells PEOPLE that their divorce is unrelated to circulating reports of Simon’s current citizen status. It has been indicated that news of their split is,” unrelated to recent allegations involving Simon’s past,” rather an “ongoing matter.”
“Yes we are crazy in love,” wrote Porsha alongside a selfie with Simon in May of 2021 following news of their engagement. “I know it’s fast but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night.”
The two wed later that year within a traditional Nigerian ceremony through native law followed up custom ceremony followed by an American ceremony in Atlanta.
