26-Year-Old Science Teacher Arrested And Charged With 5 Felony Counts Of Sexual Activity For Allegedly Having Sex With A Student!

Cousins! A North Carolina high school teacher is currently facing multiple felony charges for allegedly engaging in sexual activities with a 18-year-old student!

26 year old Gabriela Neufeld of South Mecklenburg High-School is said to have engaged in sexual intercourse with the teen a total of five times since October, reads court documents obtained by WBTV News.

WCNC News confirms that Gabriela has been suspended with no pay since November 29th. However, as of Friday, December 1st, she had officially resigned.

Reports read that she was arrested and later released on a $75,000 unsecured bond.

The mother of the 18 year old tells prosecutors during Gabriela’s court hearing, that she discovered the student-teacher relationship on Thanksgiving. She explained that she tracked her son’s phone and noticed he was not at rugby practice on Wednesday, so she proceeded to follow him tbe next day to a listed location.

Authorities state that upon her arrival she saw him having sex with his teacher in a car at Park Road Park in south Charlotte and immediately called the police.

The student’s mother asked the judge to further review Gabriela’s bond terms as she said that her son mentioned leaving their home on numerous occasions. She explained that she believes the two will leave off together somewhere.

WBTV reports that a judge ruled for Gabriela to be put on an electronic monitor and have no contact with the student she’s accused of having sex with.

South Meck High principal Marc Angerer issued a statement to students and their families following the incident.

Good morning South Meck High School families. This is Principal Marc Angerer with a message about a news story you may have seen regarding a South Meck teacher.

“Although I cannot discuss personnel information, I wanted to inform you that we take this matter seriously. We share your concerns regarding this situation. The safety and security of our students and staff is of the utmost importance to us all, and while this is a troubling situation, it is being managed by law enforcement.”

He added, “Thank you for your support of South Meck High School.”

Gabriella worked as a biology and AP biology teacher for students from ninth to twelfth grade.
