Cousins! Yung Miami brought all the smoke to the Breakfast Club as she defended her ‘BET Hip Hop Awards win for ‘Best Podcast ‘

In a friendly debate with Charlamagne Tha God, Caresha responded to negative comments surrounding her two-year winning streak for her podcast ‘Caresha Please.’

“ I just feel people always say I don’t deserve stuff. Why I don’t deserve stuff?” asked the Miami, Florida rapper.

“ I work hard I deserve everything. When I just did my first live podcast, the line was around the corner. It’s new—we are in a new time, a new generation. I’m bringing something new so why I don’t deserve it?”

The mother of two explained that she works very hard and takes time away from her children to create the podcast.

““If Caresha Please did come out weekly, I won’t have a problem with it, y’know what I’m sayin,’ because it is that good when she drops, right, but I just don’t see enough of it for her to win Hip Hop Platform of the Year two years in a row,” said Charlamagne in a previously aired show.

Caresha says that though the other nominees drop more frequently than she does, that doesn’t mean she didn’t deserve to win because it’s all a part of her strategy as a growing brand.

“Because that’s how I want to run my show. I want people to wait—-I want my sh*t to be anticipated. I don’t want to drop every week.”

Controversy surrounding Caresha’s win kicked off with a post on Twitter from ‘Drink Champs’ co-host Norega as he tweeted “So nobody gonna say nothing bout the podcast /media award? Ok me neither!!!”

In 2021 Caresha Please and Drink Champs tied for Best Hip Hop podcast.

This year’s Caresha took home a win against popular podcasts such as Drink Champs, The Breakfast Club, Million Dollaz Worth of Gameand The Joe Budden Podcast.
