Cousins! Fans of Lena Waithe’s original series ‘The Chi’ are in for a real treat as ‘Girlfriends’ alum Jill Marie Jones has officially been added to the roster!
According to reports from The Wrap, Jill is set to take on a guest-starring role as part of season six. Fans will be introduced to her character Bianca a “business owner with a shady clientele and a haunted past,” on August 25th.
Within an exclusive video clip, Jill’s character can be seen snuggled up alongside Douda portrayed by actor and series regular Curtiss Cook. The two discuss the future of his notorious street team as they weigh the pros and cons of who should take his place as a leader in the near future.
Fans will not only be introduced to new characters this season they’ll also be granted their longtime wishes ( us included ) of an extended season. According to Shadow & Act season six of ‘The Chi’ will include a total of 16 episodes split into two parts.
The first half of the season is scheduled to conclude next month September 24th.
