Cousins! NBA all-star Kyrie Irving is stepping in to help assist a 93-year-old woman currently undergoing a vicious legal battle against developers for her family’s South Carolina land!

As we previously reported Josephine Wright has been issued a lawsuit from Georgia-based developer Bailey Point Investment Group. In effort of pushing her out, they are hoping to sell her 1.8-acre parcel of land as it is surrounding their upcoming neighborhood development. She says that her Head Island, South Carolina home has been in her family since the Civil War.

Kyrie has donated $40K to a GoFundMe campaign started by Josephine’s granddaughter to help assist with legal expenses. She writes that their family has dished out thousands of dollars to address different areas of the suit by removing a satellite dish and a storage shed that Bailey cited as being on their land. Their goal is to raise $350,000 as of right now they have reached $266,078.

Josephine has lived alone and maintained her family’s property since 1998 following the passing of her husband, reports Complex.

As Josepehine’s story continues to pick up traction, Tyler took to social media in her defense. While posting the South Carolina resident’s local news interview on Instagram of her saying,” I’ve pretty much been a fighter all my life.” He wrote,’ Well, that makes two of us. Ms. Wright, please tell where to show up and what you need to help you fight.”
