Cousins! The legal battle between Cardi B and Tasha K. ain’t over yet as the Grammy award winning rapper is taking strides to assure the previously granted $ 4 million dollar judgement not be overturned!
Earlier this year the Bronx, New York native was awarded nearly $4 million dollars after a Georgia jury forwarded their decision ultimately finding Tasha liable for defamation. In response Tasha filed an appeal in hopes of having the order tossed out.
Radar Online reports, Cardi has recently filed court documents against Tasha further citing that the blogger had used social media to post videos about her alleging that the rapper had STDs, was a former prostitute and abused hard drugs .
The outlet shares that Cardi had denied all claims while testifying in court and has even forwarded medical records to confirm she did not have any sexually transmitted diseases. The mother of 2 says the posted videos paired with various lies impacted her personal life deeply.
Within the newly filed documents, Cardi and her attorney’s argued that Tasha is in the business of blogging to, “spread salacious rumors about celebrities for profit.” She continued in citing that Tasha has been harassing her across social media since 2018. The Bodak Yellow rapper says that Tasha knew that the outpouring of lies would boost her ratings.
Cardi born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar’s attorney wrote, “They admitted that their targeted attacks were intended to irritate her and to make people laugh at her and to cause her embarrassment and humiliation.”
She declares that the previously issued judgement was correct and that the forwarded appeal shouldn’t change anything.
Tasha is described as vulgar, tasteless and rude within the newly filed motion. Cardi expresses that Tasha’s actions were motivated by greed and spite. The documents explains that she acted in abuse and obscene behavior.
Cardi’s legal team says that any reasonable person would find that [Cardi’s] intense feelings of humiliation, embarrassment, shame, and outrage were the natural result of” Tasha’s actions.”
Despite the multiple issued subpoenas to her bank to seize any money she may have, Tasha has yet to forward any payments to Cardi.
