Paramount+ Cancels “The Game” Reboot After Two Season!

Cousins! The streaming platform Paramount+ has officially pulled the plug on the rebooted series of The Game!

According to Variety, The Game is amongst a roundabout of additional series such as “Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies,” “Star Trek: Prodigy,” and “Queen of the Universe” that have all been canceled. It has been stated that within the next few days, all episodes of each show will be removed from the platform entirely.

At this time there’s been no official confirmation surrounding the cancelation. However, fans believe it is due to low ratings and lack of interest since the show’s original! cast in full is not present.

“The Paramount+ series ‘Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies,’ ‘Star Trek: Prodigy,’ ‘Queen of the Universe’ and ‘The Game’ have completed their runs on Paramount+ and will not be returning to the service,” a Paramount+ spokesperson said.

The cast stars series originals Wendy Raquel Robinson and Hosea Chanchez, alongside new comers Adriyan Rae, Vaughn Hebron, and Analisa Velez.

“We want to extend our thanks to our tremendously talented cast and crew and our producing partners for their passionate work and dedication on these programs, and we wish them all the best on their future endeavors.”

All may not be lost for the series as Variety reports CBS Studios will also be free to shop “The Game,” the revival of the CW/BET series of the same name.

Sources state the string of cancellations and removals comes just a few days ahead of the launch merge between unified service Paramount+ with Showtime, scheduled for June 27.
