#IssaRae is continuing her life’s mission of putting on for the black community within the media industry by creating content that speaks to us. The latest project on Issa’s ever growing to-do list is a brand new scripted series in partnership with her home network of HBO!
According to #VibeMagazine it has recently been announced by Warner Media that Issa has been named the executive producer of a new television series titled Dope Sh*t set to air on the standalone streaming service HBO-MAX. Sources have indicated that the show is set to depict the life of a fictional female Hip Hop group from Florida, working tirelessly to dominate the music industry.
Issa will be pairing up with Montrel McKay, Jonathan Berry and Dave Becky to executive producer the show. It has been indicated that Issa will also be the magic behind the pen for the show’s official pilot.
Dope Sh*t is set to air in May 2020!
