According to reports from TMZ, the singer has been hit with a $10 million dollar lawsuit where he is accused of exposing a woman’s breast during a 2013 Connecticut pool party outside a casino. Court documents show that the listed victim identified as Jane Doe, named Trey, his production company, record executive Kevin Liles and Atlantic records within the suit following the incident.
Jane alongside her attorney state that she was left humiliated paired with emotional distress over the years after Trey reportedly pulled her breast out of her bikini top without her consent. They argue within a forwarded 2022 demand letter that the multiple defendants should have known about the singer’s ‘sexual proclivities’ and that they failed to monitor Trey’s behavior during the ‘Foxwoods Liquid Sundays with Trey Songz,’ event.
The victim declared that she has been left to think about the incident for a long time and was forced to leave her promising career a few months after the ordeal due to embarrassment. It has been indicated that Jane was left triggered after Trey’s 2021 Vegas sexual assault case was dropped last year and that occurred just a few weeks before her lawyer sent the official demand letter.
Reports read that Trey and the other defendants had weeks to respond before she took further legal action. However she is now seeking $10 million dollars in damages.
Trey’s lawyer Michael Freedman tells the outlet, “This is yet another example of decade-old allegations being repurposed into a federal case to take advantage of California’s constitutionally questionable new look back window. We look forward to vindicating Trey on the merits in court.”
