Cousins! It appears that the continuous legal battle between Cardi B and Tasha K has been put on pause following reports that the Youtuber filed for bankruptcy recently!

According to Radar Online, obtained court documents show that a Georgia judge has ordered the Grammy award winning rapper to stand down on her efforts of collecting the nearly four million dollars owed to her by Tasha. The judge declared that the chapter 11 case places all of Tasha born Latasha Kebe, legal obligations on hold until the bankruptcy is resolved.

On Thursday May 25th, Tasha appeared in a Florida Federal court hearing where she claimed she would not be able to afford to pay the money she owes Cardi. Her current assets were listed as totaling under $60,000, including a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado, two Louis Vuitton purses and $95 dollars in her account, including her UnWineWithTashaK Youtube channel for monetary use.

As per Billboard Tasha’s bankruptcy filling also included her Google Account asset worth $10,000 which was garnished in 2022 by Cardi’s legal team. It has been stated that a shared income between Tasha and her husband was listed as being $156,021 in 2021 and $134,861 in 2022 deriving from their online content.

As we previously reported Cardi was awarded $1 million dollars in general damages, $250,000 in medical expenses including $1.5 million in punitive damages and an additional $1.3 million in attorney fees. This comes after the Bronx, New York native sued Tasha for defamation of character in posting false reports about her doing drugs, previously being a sex worker and allegedly having a STD.

Cardi appeared in court where she testified on the stand as to how the ordeal caused her emotional distress within her personal life and ultimately caused problems in her marriage.

Despite Tasha’s efforts jurors sided that she was liable for defamation, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress. A few months ago back in March Tasha appealed the court’ss decision and lost once again.

Tasha is said to have filed for bankruptcy after receiving a bunch of subpoenas from Cardi to her bank , Google and Youtube accounts.

Her largest form of debt ranges from the $3 million+ she owes Cardi as well as $53K owed on her car, an undetermined amount she owes the IRS, including credit card bills and unpaid legal fees.

Tasha alongside her legal team details that her household monthly expenses are $22K out of the 13K and $17K her husband bring in each month which only leaves them with $7K, reports Radar Online.

As of right now Cardi hasn’t responded to the recently issued court order.
