Celebrity Stylist Law Roach Announces He’s Retiring, “My Cup Is Empty”

Cousins! After shaking the table for years within the fashion industry celebrity stylist Law Roach has announced this afternoon that he is officially retiring.

Within a post to Instagram Law thanked those who have helped and support him throughout his career while revealing that politics of industry are an obstacle he wants no parts of anymore.

“My Cup is empty….. thank you to everyone who’ve supported me and my career over the years,” he wrote.

“Every person that trusted me with their image, I’m so grateful for you all. If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately it’s not! The politics , the lies and false narratives finally got me! You win … I’m out. ❤️❤️❤️”

Throughout his career Law has masterfully styled fan a long list of fan favorite celebrities such as Kerry Washington, Issa Rae, Megan Thee Stallion, Zendaya and many more.

He’s also known for his extensive and precise attention to detail as he sat as one of the judges for Tyra Banks’ reality series America’s Next Top Model.

According to Entertainment Tonight, in 2017 Law made history as the first African American stylist to cover the Hollywood Reporter’s annual Stylist & Stars issue as he styled Celine Dion for Couture Week in Paris.

In 2021 Law was named a Gem Award recipient for Jewelry Style. The following year he was honored with an inaugural Stylist Award for American Fashion in New York at the CFDA Awards

Following news of his retirement, social media users expect that a recent video shared online where he was instructed to sit in the second row of a fashion show instead of being upfront alongside his long time client Zendaya may have been the part straw for him.
