Britney Spears Releases Statement After Fans Called Local Police To Her Home With Concerns That She Deleted Her Instagram Account, “ I Love And Adore My Fans But This Time Things Went A Little Too Far”

Cousins! Britney Spears is speaking out after a series of fans reached out to local police officials issuing concerns for her well-being in response to her Instagram account being deleted!

Within a shared message on her verified Twitter account Britney wrote, “As everyone knows the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls. I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded.”

“The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realized there was no issue and left immediately. This felt like I was being gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in a poor and unfair light by the media.”

Britney explains how she felt improperly portrayed in the media and that ultimately being gaslit. “During this time in my life, I truly hope the public and my fans who I care so much about can respect my privacy moving
forward. All the love, B.”

According to reports from CNN Sgt. Jason Karol of the Ventura County Sheriff’s office confirmed within an issued statement that the department “received some calls from concerned fans” after Britney seemingly deleted her Instagram account.

He states that a wellness check was issued “out of an abundance of caution” thankfully they were able to swiftly determine, “she was safe and in no danger.”

Over the last few years Britney has used her verified Instagram account to communicate directly with her fans especially as she faced legal issues surrounding her conservatorship.

The hashtag #FreeBritney was created in response to the 2008 agreed guardianship largely controlled by her father Jamie Spears. Britney was extremely vocal on the ways her life was effected by her father’s control and how she was unable to complete simple acts that normal adults complete on a daily basis.

The conservatorship was officially dissolved in 2021.
