Bishop Lamor Whitehead Arrested And Hit With Federal Charges Following Allegations Of Fraud, Extortion And More!

Cousins! Brooklyn Bishop and Pastor Lamor Whitehead has landed himself in slammer ya’ll! According to trending reports he was arrested this morning by the FBI following charges of lying to federal agents, fraud and extortion!

Bishop Whitehead is currently being accused of scamming one of the parishioners at his church out of $90,000 from her retirement.

According to the NY Post, he is had to have issued promises to help the unidentified woman purchase a home with that money. However instead Bishop Whitehead is said to have purchase luxury goods and items for himself.

In another reported incident Bishop Whitehead is said to have extorted a businessman out of $5,000 while also asking to borrow $500,000 promising that he could, “obtain favorable actions by the New York City government”, in exchange for the cash and interest in real estate transactions; reads the issued indictment.

Following his arrest attorney Damian Williams shared a forwarded statement surrounding the incident, “His campaign of fraud and deceit stops now.”

“If you are willing to attempt to obtain funds through false promises or threats, the FBI will ensure that you are made to face the consequences for your actions in our criminal justice system,” said FBI Assistant Director Michael J. Driscoll in an issued statement.

If convicted, Bishop Whitehead could face up to 65 years in prison.
