In the documentary, he can be heard saying

“Leaving the only place I’ve ever known as a home for ten years. To then go be independent and really do it on my own, it’s a scary thing. It’s a lot of things that I think are like building up and like so much going on and I just feel tired man.”

Logic continues,

“They say one door closes and a window opens or something like that, but this is all my doing. I’m leaving the label. I’m going to do what I wanna do, and this is what I wanna do. I wanna make raw hip hop sh*t, and then I wanna go make a pop album.”

His album, Vinyl Days, dropped on June 17th, 2022

His album, Vinyl Days, dropped on June 17th, 2022. It features DJ Premier, RZA, Royce da 5’9, The Game, AZ, Russ, Action Bronson, and Wiz Khalifa, to name a few.

Pitchfork journalist Brady Brickner-Wood defines this project as “his strongest project in years.”

Brickner-Woods adds:

“The beats here are the best Logic’s ever rapped on—most of the production is handled by longtime producer 6ix and Logic himself—and his rapping is as technically electrifying as ever. Logic can rap, and rap well, and he showcases this skill ad nauseum on Vinyl Days, which is 30 tracks long.”

In other Logic-based news, he plans on touring with Wiz Khalifa for the Vinyl Verse Summer Tour. The two will be on the road from July 27th through September 2nd.
