Cousins!
Rolling Loud may cause more tension between Ye and Kid Cudi because the “Day N Nite” hitmaker is taking West’s spot in their lineup for Miami. Cudi will now headline their show on July 22nd, 2022, instead of Kanye West.
The two musicians had an unbreakable bond until earlier this year. Once Cudi’s other friend, Pete Davidson, began dating Ye’s ex-wife, the two exchanged some heated words. In Ye’s eyes, Cudi’s affiliation with Davidson signifies disloyalty. After their public falling out, Kid Cudi told Ye his take on the situation via Twitter.
“Everyone knows I’ve been the best thing about ur albums since I met you. Ima pray for u brother. We talked weeks ago about this. You’re whack for flipping the script and posting this lie just for a look on the internet. You ain’t no friend. BYE.”

This exchange of words sparked Ye to unfollow Cudi on his social media pages. Since then, there’s been no news about reconciling.
HotNewHipHop got word of Kid Cudi’s placement on Rolling Loud Miami through his Twitter page. Alongside a poster for the event, Cudi wrote, “RAGER BOY INCOMING.” Rolling Loud’s official account and the music festival’s CEO confirmed Cudi’s news on Instagram.
“Due to circumstances outside of our control, Ye will no longer be performing at Rolling Loud Miami 2022,” they wrote in a post. “Please welcome @kidcudi!”
Tariq Cherif, Rolling Loud’s co-founder and co-CEO, affirmed this news by saying, “Tried to convince Ye to stay on the lineup but he wasn’t having it.”
After the word about Cudi’s appearance was announced, hip-hop fans were divided. One user wrote, “Nobody wanted Cudi. Shoulda gave us Travis Scott at least.” Another person stated that “Kid Cudi only has two festival-worthy songs people could sing along to.”
Either way, a congratulation is in order for the “Another Day” rapper. Cousins; are you excited to see Kid Cudi wow the crowd?
