The city of New York is on high alert right now following the inhumane murder of a young mother while she pushed her baby in a stroller!

According to local police and the New York Post Azsia Johnson, 20 was tragically shot while pushing her 3-month-old baby in a stroller Wednesday around 8:30PM EST. The fatal incident is said to have taken place near the Samuel Seabury Playground within the Upper East Side area.

Officials state the gunman approached her from behind and shot her one time in her head at point blank range and took off running. Sadly, she was pronounced dead an hour later following the incident. The toddler was left unharmed.

Cops are still investigating the incident as they comb through surveillance footage of the area to determine where the young mother was coming from and what could have possibly caused the shooting.
