Chick-fil-A is gearing up to try delivery robots!

Chick-fil-A is the latest restaurant chain to take on delivery robots to make “deliveries at a fraction of the cost of conventional delivery,” as reports Fox 5NY.

Everyone’s favorite chicken restaurant is working with Texas-based robotics company Refraction AI. The newly equipped duo is now testing a small group of self-driving delivery vehicles in Austin.

The box-shaped robot on wheels will have the food placed in a locked section. Once the robot rolls to its location, the customer will have a code to unlock the compartment, and they will be able to get their food.

The delivery robot will travel in the margin of the road or the bike lane to avoid complications on the sidewalk.

Chick-fil-A is not the only restaurant trying to use technology for delivery practices– Dominoes is testing autonomous pizza delivery vehicles. Chili’s is testing robot servers to help overworked staffers. And a high-end sushi restaurant is using a sushi-making robot to increase delivery speed and expand takeout.

We wonder how far these robots can go because we would like to put in for a delivery!
