It appears that the folks of ABC have officially decided to pull the plug on the original series Queens after only one season!

Staring fan favorites such as Brandy, Eve , Naturi Naughton and Nadine Velasquez and evening guest appearances from Jadakiss, Remy Ma and more; the series racked up millions of viewers from its pilot episode.

However according to Deadline, the series hit a downward spiral of viewers after Eve took a break to prepare for the birth of her son mid-season. With the storyline of events that took place within the show’s first season there was never any official confirmation of her return.

Queens, created by McGhee and directed by Tim Story, four estranged and out-of-touch women in their 40s — Naomi (Brandy), Jill (Naughton), Brianna (Eve) and Valeria (Velazquez) — reunite for a chance to recapture their fame and regain the swagger they had as their ’90s group that made them legends in the hip-hop world.

Prior to the series cancellation Brandy stated, “I know I would love to see more performances, more rapping, and more stage stuff if there is a Season 2. We didn’t really get a chance to do a lot of the stage performances that I wanted to do this year.

She continued, “I hope we get to tell more great stories and have a lot more entertainment in terms of the group. Fingers crossed.”

Cousins, are y’all said to see ‘Queens’ go?
