Congratulations are in order for the lyricist and scholar Ludacris as he celebrates receiving an honorary degree in Bachelor of Science Music Management from his alma mater of Georgia State University GSU 👏🏿

Within a commencement ceremony of over 800 master degree graduates held on Wednesday, Luda addresses them all with a heartwarming speech fueled with gratitude, admiration and inspiration.

According to reports from TMZ, Luda had previously attended university back in the early 90s but dropped out after singing a record deal with Def Jam.

“I owe Georgia State University a great debt because you helped me to arrive at my why,” said Luda.

“Our alma mater was founded on the principles to help you find those answers. So with its rich history of excellence and inclusion, it plays an even more important role.”
