Cousins!
It looks like we are one step closer to finally getting the series we have been anticipating!
In early 2021, we learned that The Best Man franchise will turn into a TV drama series. Director Malcolm D. Lee announced “The Best Man: The Final Chapters.” Later that year, one of the stars of the film Nia Long, confirmed that the crew will be returning to reprise their roles.
“I think we’re all looking forward to it and I know Malcolm [Lee] is working really hard to get the scripts to where he wants them and to give the audience what they want. People have been asking for this for a long time and now they get to see us weekly. So, it’ll be nice,” said Nia.
Since then, the details of the movie have been silent, up until now.

Along with Long and Chestnut, other castmates joining the series will feature Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Regina Hall, Melissa De Sousa, and Harold Perrineau. The only person missing is Monica Calhoun. Her character died in the sequel, The Best Man Holiday, in 2013.
Taye also shared a throwback picture of the original cast with a caption that read, “ We’re baaaaaaaaaack….”
Nia recently shared a picture of herself live on set with caption in regards to her role of Jordan, “Jordan #byanymeansnecessary #TheBestMan
