Jeannie Mai Says That She Learned Of Jeezy Filing For Divorce Along With The Rest Of The World, “I Was Gutted”

Cousins, Jeannie Mai is opening up about her split from Jeezy as she shares she learned of him filing for divorce at the same time as the rest of the world!

While appearing as a guest on Jennifer Hudson’s talk show on Monday, Jeannie shared how she’s been dealing with the pending divorce after two years of marriage. “Even though this year, I met the most broken version of me. I also met the strongest version of me,” explained Jeannie.”

“It was kind of hard, so yeah, it’s what I’m dealing with day by day, you know? I think I’m doing better now.”

As we previously reported Jeezy filed for divorce on September 14th within Fulton County Court and that he is seeking joint custody of their one-year-old daughter Monaco-Mai Jenkins.

Jeannie told Jennifer, “When I found out … that my marriage was ending in divorce, I was gutted.”

“So today, it’s about picking up the pieces. It’s about discovering me and being a mom to the best blessing in my life, my little girl.”

Jeezy said in a November interview with Nia Long that counseling couldn’t save his marriage.

“I can tell you that I’m saddened. I can tell you I’m disappointed. I can tell you that I’m uneasy,” said Jeezy she asked about the shocking split.

“But God has put me on a different path, and that path is going to entail for me to take care of myself and to love myself and to be in the best situation that I can thrive as someone who’s been through all of the things that I’ve been through.”
