Cousins!

After months of grieving, it appears the memorial for Young Dolph is set to come down!

Rapper and self-proclaim king of Memphis, Young Dolph, lost his life back in 2021 while  at Makeda’s Cookies shop. Since his death, family and friends placed a memorial at the site of his tragic passing on Airways Boulevard.

According to Hip Hop Dx, the owner of the building, says it is time for all of it to come down.

Since the tragic incident Pamela Hill, the owner of Makeda’s Cookies, changed her mind and decided not to reopen the cookie shop due to safety concerns.

“I understand you have to lease it out and run a business,” community activist Frank Gotti told ABC24. “I understand it. It’s his building and nobody can argue with him on that. I appreciate him for keeping it up this long.”

Despite the memorial coming down, a member of the Paper Route Empire tells ABC24 that a new memorial will be at Castalia Heights.

Young Dolph was shot and killed on November 17th, 2021, outside Makeda’s Cookies. Dolph was a frequent customer and even promoted the cookie shop on social media. Since his death, three men have been arrested for his murder.

Such a touchy subject. I feel for the owner. But I can see why the community wants to keep it up. What are yall tHoughts?
