New York City Mayor Eric Adams Conducts Late Night Meeting With Drill Rappers To Discuss Solutions Against Violence!

In initiative of addressing the exceeding rates of violence in New York City, Mayor Eric Adams has recently sat down with artists such as Maine O , Fivio Foreign and more to discuss how to establish a much needed change!

In a video posted to Maine O’s Instagram he says, “There’s been a lot of talk about drill rap, drill music in New York City, connecting violence with the culture, and I just wanted to create a conversation with the mayor.”

The meeting was reportedly held Tuesday being around 11PM within a city Hall Office. Artists such as Lovee, CEO Slow, Bucksy Luciano and Bleezy were also in attendance.

According to NBC news, Mayor Adams has previously stated that the musical genre of Drill Rap has contributed to the increase of street violence. He’s also admitted that he was open to meet with meet with highly influential drill rappers to discuss the issues of gun violence in the streets of New York.

Later within their circulated video Mayor Adams says, “we’re going to roll out something together”“

Drill is a style of music defined by its dark, violent, lyrical content and heavily influenced trap-music beats.

Drill rap originally kicked off within the streets of Chicago in the last ten years or so and has gone widely with popularity.

Sadly two rising drill artists known as Tdott Woo and Chii Wittz, were murdered in Brooklyn earlier this month.
