Congratulations are in order for the cast and crew of the hit HBO series Euphoria , following major news that they pulled in a new series high of over 5 million viewers during the Sunday night Super Bowl 🏈

According to Variety, episode 6 of the current season secured a 20 percent increase of viewership in comparison to last week’s episode, not to mention a 45 percent jump above the season’s overall average.

“Euphoria ranked as the No. 1 title on HBO Max in the U.S. for the fifth week in a row and the top series globally,” says HBO wrote within a forwarded statement.

“Euphoria was the No. 1 most social and No. 1 most talked about broadcast when excluding the Super Bowl. Episode 1 is now tracking at 16.7 million viewers across platforms, just over 2.5x the average audience of Season 1 (6.6 million viewers per episode).”

As we previously reported the popular series was recently renewed for a third season. Euphoria has expanded its audience throughly over the last few episodes due to it’s expressive content and often disregarded conversational realism.

Though the series continuously receives its fair share of criticism show runners including the series leading lady and producer Zendaya, have been vocal about the show being made for mature audiences only.
