Sean “Diddy” Combs recently broke off $7.5 million dollars worth of a lil sumthin sumthin for the “Sean John” clothing brand, in hopes of acquiring it, to save it from bankruptcy and successfully sealed the deal!

YAHOO previously reported the company North American division of Global Brands Group USA Inc; the management firm and holding filed for bankruptcy earlier this year back in July. That’s when Diddy put his initial bid in for $3.3 million after he had originally sold the Sean John name back in 2016.

But even at the height of the brand’s success under new management, it was still taking in $450 million dollars in sales from 2016 alone.

Our guess is COVID came along and the “Sean John” brand became too hot to handle, too cold to hold and now that they’ve filed bankruptcy…. it will be sold.

“I launched Sean John in 1998 with the goal of building a premium brand that shattered tradition and introduced Hip Hop to high-fashion on a global scale,” Diddy previously shared with Complex.

“Seeing how streetwear has evolved to rewrite the rules of fashion and impact culture across categories, I’m ready to reclaim ownership of the brand, build a team of visionary designers and global partners to write the next chapter of Sean John’s legacy.”

The two entities, GBG and P. Diddy we’re supposed to give pounds to one another, working together as a team. Unfortunately GBG hit him with a SIKE! They went behind his back to print his ‘Vote or Die’ campaign slogan, on some merch without his permission. Needless to say, Combs was not amused.

Stay with me on this one.. Combs dropped some BIG BIG energy on GBG. He bided his time, then put them on the ropes back in February when he filed a $25 milli lawsuit against “Sean John.” Then Diddy delivered the punishing blow with an additional $60 milli lawsuit against GBG, both for trademark infringement!

Cousins!! Are you excited Diddy wants to bring  “Sean John” back?  Comment below!
