Sistas fans we’ve got some pretty dope and exciting news for you! In efforts of giving the people what they want media mogul Tyler Perry is currently in the works of developing an official spin-off dedicated to the blossoming relationship between fan faves Zac and Fatima!
The big news was announced this morning by Tyler Perry Studios and BET+ that Zatima has officially been cleared for production.
The highly anticipated drama series will consist of 10 episodes all one hour each following the life of the show’s lead actors Zac played by Devale Ellis and Crystal Renee Hayslett while they make through the ups and downs of their relationship.
“We are continuing to strengthen our investment in quality programming, and our partnership with Tyler Perry has a proven track record of super-serving our audience,” said BET’s President and CEO, Scott Mills.
Zac and Fatima’s union has won over the hearts of many from the very beginning as fans have been able to witness their characters glow up individually and collectively.
We look forward to unlocking crossover viewership opportunities between our linear platform and our streaming service one of our strongest series, ‘Sistas.’ With ‘Zatima’ joining our expanding roster of BET+ originals, BET is committed to giving viewers more of the compelling content they love and expect across our platforms,” concludes Scott.
Reports read that production has already began and that Zatima is set to air sometime in 2022. Tyler has been named that show’s executive producer director and writer.
