Travis Scott, Drake, and many others took a $2 billion dollar punch to the throat in the form of a lawsuit recently filed by the lawyer representing 282 victims, subsequent to this year’s Astroworld disaster that happened in Houston.

The New York Post claims seasoned San Antonio attorney Thomas Henry came out swinging at the event organizers in a news release; implying the named defendants were intentionally reckless during the planning stage of their ill-fated festival.

“The defendants stood to make an exorbitant amount of money off this event, and they still chose to cut corners, cut costs, and put attendees at risk,” he railed, adding “My clients want to ensure the defendants are held responsible for their actions, and they want to send the message to all performers, event organizers, and promoters that what happened at Astroworld cannot happen again.”

The two billion-dollar stacks are meant to cover all damages for Henry’s clients, whose ages range from teenagers all the way up to 40 years old.

The high-powered attorney went in while speaking to the media, highlighting the unfortunate injuries which resulted from the annual music festival that claimed 10 lives and injured a multitude of others.

“They have injuries ranging from heart attacks, to heart issues, to brain injuries, to spinal injuries, to broken bones, broken legs, eye injuries, internal organ injuries, bruising and bleeding,” Henry said, then emphasized the mental anguish suffered by his clients saying there are “just a whole calamity, emotional injuries that were suffered” as well.

“Those who were injured are still very traumatized because they had to step over dead bodies. They didn’t have a choice because there was nowhere to move. These people were trapped. The crushing effect was so heavy and so hard. They couldn’t breathe. They couldn’t get out.”

Henry would of course need to prove these allegations of willful malevolence towards their festival attendees and his law firm is working on getting their receipts together by trying to obtain Travis and Drake’s cellphones.

“We have already started this process and are going to make sure that we get him and Drake’s cellphones because there are communication systems in play that will be in those cellphones,” he told the outlet.

“Every type of communication that he does, whether it be his audio, or his video, or his text messages, or his cellphone calls — we are going to make sure that they are all preserved,” Henry added.

There is already another whopper of a lawsuit underway filed by Houston attorney Tony Buzbee for $750 million against the same defendants as Henry.  Buzbee represents 125 victims, including the family of a 21 year old, who is one of the 10 who passed away.

Harris County District Court records show there have been as many as 140 lawsuits filed as a result of this tragedy.
