Cousins!

It would seem Dave Chappelle achieved his objective on his latest Netflix special; to fall on the sword for DaBaby, freeing him of the firm “triple C grip” (Cancel-Culture-Chokehold) the LGBTQ had on his career. Seemingly to invite the offended community to pick on someone ‘Chappelle’ size. Last check, his mission was accomplished; the comedian is out and DaBaby is back in!

According to TMZ; CEO Gwendolyn D. Clemons of Relationship Unleashed, stated the once ostracized rapper was back in the fold, as he took the time to listen and learn from members of her organization. They now approve of the hit maker’s “appearance at Rolling Loud NY last week — and any future concerts — as they feel he’s learned a lot over the past few months.”

The LGBTQ community was left reeling back in July, from Da Baby’s HIV tirade during Rolling Loud. They barely had time to recover, when the comedic giant entered stage left and dropped “The Closer” on Netflix. In life you pick your battles, so the CEO of ‘Relationship Unleashed’ forgave Da Baby for misspeaking, and fine-tuned their focus on the man of the moment, David Khari Webber Chappelle. That’s right! The non profit organization snatched back their Scarlett “C” letter (Cancelled) from DaBaby, and smacked it right on the kisser of the 5 time Emmy award winning Comedian, for his offensive comments they felt were beyond palatability.

The CEO is convinced the Grammy award winning stand-up comedian used his platform for “hate speech disguised as comedy…and he was gaslighting audiences into bigoted points of views”. DaBaby however, met not only with them, but over 100+ other LGBTQ activist organizations and they “got through to him” about his destructive verbal attack about AIDS. The final verdict? Clemons felt the “Rockstar” lyricist did not fully comprehend the weight of his words, but Chappelle was the diametrical opposite.

Though Clemons has since claimed that TMZ misquoted her comments, the media outlet doubled down and ‘said what they said’, even releasing her full statement for all to read.

Cousins, should Chappelle meet with the LGBTQ community and quiet the storm? Comment below.
