Cousins!

Imagine putting blood, sweat, and tears into your occupation to be underpaid. This is the case for many Subway Northern Cal workers, that is what happened when their regional manager allegedly stiffed them out of 38 million!

As reported by the New York Post; manager Chirayu Patel, who oversees roughly a thousand Northern California restaurants, underpaid nearly 3,000 workers in court documents.

Following forwarded claims, Patel has announced that he is leaving the company. The gag is, it is not because of his actions. He claims it’s to spend more time with his family (yeah, like we believe that). The crazy thing is that Patel will still own 15 restaurants but will no longer work for the corporate office. Allegedly, it is reported that the controversial manage settled the workers’ lawsuit over the summer.

A source close to subway claims, “As soon he settled his suit for $38 million in unpaid wages, he’s out.” Allegedly, Patel stiffed “2,918 workers at many of the Subways he owned out of overtime pay.” Patel owned 70 restaurants, but now it is down to around 15.

What is even crazier is that the parent company of Subway, Doctor Associates, has been aware of the suit since 2018 and did absolutely anything about it. Patel was later accused of forcing restaurants he managed out of business in 2019. So apparently, he has been doing some major dirt!

Cousins, we don’t even know what to say. What we do know is that this is very foul and distasteful.
