Cousins!
Everyone’s favorite heartthrob Michael B Jordan and the smouldering siren of tennis Serena Williams, teamed up to unintentionally practice a little Ujamaa, the 4th principle of Kwanzaa which BK Reader explains means, “to build our own businesses, control the economics of our own community and share in all its work and wealth.”
That’s right! These two beloved celebs are partnering to offer HBCU brilliance (students or alumni) a unique opportunity, to win up to $1million smackeroos to invest in their entrepreneurial business ventures.
HBCUs represent some of the best and brightest students in the world! Executives from six different companies, will work contemporaneously alongside students to assist them with their proposals for this unique competition. During a press conference, the two powerhouses in their own right announced they would award the winners December 18, 2021, during the QQQ Legacy Classic Basketball Showcase Finals.
Students from North Carolina Central University, North Carolina A&T State University, Hampton University and Howard University are expected to attend the event, reports YAHOO.
Giving back is where it’s at and we are here for it!
