Cousins!
Arguably one of the best Hip Hop groups ever created is blessing fans with an official reunion tour!
During a special pop-up show in New York City last week, Fugees reunited on stage in their first concert in 15 years,at the Global Citizen Live event. Considerably one of the best Hip Hop groups known to date — Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, and Pras Michel announced that they are coming together for a 2021 world tour celebrating 25 years of their iconic 1996 album ‘The Score.’

According to NME, Fugees performed on the rooftop at Pier 17 venue in New York. The group performed one of their records, ‘Ready or Not,’ during a live broadcast on Saturday (September 25) as part of the 24-hour Global Citizen Live event
Now, there is no secret of the group’s rocky relationship. Before splitting in 2006, the group faced many ongoing problems such as solo sidelines, legal troubles, and conflicts. One, in particular, involves romantic complications between Jean and Hill according to Pitchfork. In 2007, Michel said that there was “a better chance of seeing Osama Bin Laden and [former President George W.] Bush in Starbucks having a latte, discussing foreign policies,” than working with Hill again.
In a recent press release, Hill said, “The Fugees have a complex but impactful history…. I decided to honor this significant project, its anniversary, and the fans who appreciated the music by creating a peaceful platform where we could unite, perform the music we loved, and set an example of reconciliation for the world.”

Jean adds, “As I celebrate 25 years with the Fugees, my first memory was that we vowed, from the gate, we would not just do music we would be a movement. We would be a voice for the unheard, and in these challenging times, I am grateful once again, that God has brought us together.” It seems like the group finally came to an agreement by placing their difference to the side.
The group will kick start their tour at the beginning of November in Chicago. Then in December, the group would be in London at the O2 Arena before TBC shows in Ghana and Nigeria.
