Cousins!

The R&B vixen calls is officially calling it quits for the world of music as she announces a farewell tour.!

After releasing three albums, Teyana Taylor is walking away from music. The songstress took to Instagram to announce her farewell tour. Titled as the “Last Rose Petal,” Taylor writes, “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard. However, for every goodbye, God makes the next hello closer.”

Now when Teyana Taylor announced her retirement from music last year, it was quite a surprise. In an Instagram post, Taylor revealed her plans to retire from music after complaining about a lack of support from her record label G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam, according to the New York Daily News. This ongoing situation has taken a toll on Taylor as she admits she is doing it for her mental health.

“I gotta do it for my mental health. I have to do it for my emotional health. I have to do it for my kids, so I can stay alive for my kids,” she said. “Until I’m free, until I can get [my label] to release me, yes I want to retire. I don’t want to do this anymore.”

The wife and mother of 2 adorable daughters have accomplished a lot during her career. Despite releasing three solo albums and mixtapes, it is unfortunate she is retiring. Even though some may see this as the end for Taylor, this is far from the truth. Besides being an incredible singer/songwriter, Taylor is also a Video Music Director (Spike Tee) and Creative Director of Pretty Little Thing.
