New York Police officials are currently searching for a man responsible for following a 70 year old woman to her apartment building and sexually assaulting her at gun point!

According to ABC News the incident took place on July 27th within the Belmont area of The Bronx around 2am.

The unidentified male was seen wearing two masks, one red and another black as he followed the elderly woman entering her building and grabbed her from behind.

Reports read that the male forced her into a nearby stairwell, where he both sexually assaulted and raped her at gunpoint.

It has been indicated that the horrific incident only came to light six days after, when the woman went to visit a local BronxCare Health System Hospital for a checkup.

The rapist has been described as being around 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black du-rag, black hooded sweatshirt, a white T-shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers, while carrying black and red plastic masks.
