Following the viral January. 6th U.S Capitol invasion, a series of four officers have been discovered dead with causes being identified as mysterious suicides!
Department spokesperson Kristen Metzger released an official statement recently in regards to U.S Capitol officer Hashida tragic suicide.
“Officer Gunther Hashida, assigned to the Emergency Response Team within the Special Operations Division, was found deceased in his residence on Thursday, July 29.”
According to CNN on July.10th Metropolitan Police Officer Kyle DeFreytag was found dead. He was confirmed as being present at the January incident.
Reports read that responding officer Jeffrey Smith, and US Capitol Police Officer Howard Liebengood later died by suicide.
It has been indicated that Capitol Police officer, Brian D. Sicknick, suffered multiple strokes following the attack and died of natural causes exactly one day after after the incident.
“I want to take this moment and speak to my fellow officers about the emotions they are continuing to experience from the events of January 6. There is absolutely nothing wrong with seeking professional counseling,” says Capitol Police Officer Harry Dun within a forwarded statement last month.
“What we all went through that day was traumatic, and if you are hurting, please take advantage of the counseling services that are available to us.”
