DMX’s Fiancé Desiree Lindstrom Request For Posthumous Common Law Wife Status And Control Of Assets Denied!

Cousins!

As the world continues to mourn the tragic loss of legendary artist DMX , his family is currently battling out to gain control of his estate and assests!

According to the JasmineBrand , the late rapper’s fiancé and mother to his five year old son Desire Lindstrom recently filed a court order to be identified as his common law wife.

A common law wife is when two people live together for a long period of time without the formality of actually being married.

Though the couple had been engaged for two years and share a child together her request was officially denied by a judge. If granted common law status, Desiree would have held primary control of X’s estate including future music earnings.

Reports read that the major issues lies within the fact that X did not leave a will which has his adult children Xavier, Tacoma, Sean Simmons Sasha Simmons and Jada Oden contesting to be named the official administrator of the estate.

“There is no will from DMX and that’s a big problem. This is a difficult situation because there are a number of people vying to be named administrators,” says an unidentified source close to the family.

”His fiancée Desiree tried to muscle in by asking the court to be named his common-law wife, which means she would have taken precedence over his children. But the court refused.

It has been indicated that there is no confirmed dollar amount of X’s estate, however his family members believe between less than $50,000 to $1 million.

The family is due back in court next month July 15th.
