A manhunt is underway after a heated confrontation in Queens turned violent, leaving three people injured; including a 19-year-old girl!
According to the NY Daily News, police a currently searching for two men accused of using a knife during the incident to slash three victims.
Sources state that the teen, alongside a 23-year-old man and a 34-year-old man, was standing on Roosevelt Ave. near 103rd St. in Corona around 4 a.m. on Oct. 2 when the two unidentified men approached them.
Sources state the altercation escalated quickly turning from a verbal dispute to a physical confrontation.
Surveillance footage shows the teenage girl being slashed in the back, while the older male victim was slashed in the back and hands, and the younger male victim on the left side of the face with an unknown sharp object before running north on 104th St.
It has been confirmed that the teen suffered serious injuries but thankfully she is now in stable condition. The other two victims were also hospitalized for treatment.
Police have released surveillance images of the suspects and are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers, highlighting the importance of community tips in bringing dangerous individuals to justice.
“This type of violence is unacceptable,” an NYPD spokesperson said. “We are committed to finding those responsible and ensuring our streets are safe for everyone.”
Both suspects have been described in detail by police. They are stated to have light complexions and heavy builds.
One of the male suspect’s was last seen wearing a red hooded Nike sweatshirt, black jeans and black sneakers. The other suspect was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and white sneakers.
