Our favorite trio of witches are giving things another go round town as Disney Plus has officially announced Hocus Pocus 2 is currently in the works starring the original Sanders Sisters!

The news was announced Thursday evening that actresses Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are in place to reprise their roles within the upcoming prequel reports CNN.

The film will depict the lives of three young women who make the classic mistake of bringing the Sanderson Sisters back and learning how to stop the children craving witches from causing havoc within the modern day and newly shaped world.

The original film was released back in 1993 and has easily become one of Halloween’s most popular cult classics.

‘As heartbroken as I am that I won’t be able to direct my friends Bette, Sarah Jessica and Kathy in what is sure to be nothing short of a major event for Disney+ due to scheduling conflicts, I couldn’t be more pleased to be handing over the reins to Anne, who has brought so much laughter and joy into people’s lives with her previous work,” says Hocus Pocus original director Adam Shankman, who has been named as an executive producer on the new film, within a forwarded statement.

“I am still grateful and proud to help shepherd this ingenious project as executive producer alongside producer Lynn Harris, whom I have loved and admired as a colleague and friend since she helped get me the job choreographing ‘Boogie Nights.'”

It has been indicated that the prequel will be produced Anne Fletcher Hocus Pocus 2 will be released in 2022 exclusively on Disney Plus.
