Cousins!

Its been nearly 24 years since the classic 90’s series of Martin officially wrapped up and though once a upon a time a possible reboot seemed as if it was in the works, a direct source confirms that it ain’t going to happen!

Long time friends and cast mates Tisha Campbell and Tichina Arnold recently appeared on the Tamron Hall talk show to discuss the current status of a potential Martin reboot.

“It’s something that we wanted to happen,” says Tichina. “It’s something that we tried very hard for it to happen, but the way it looks to me, realistically, it’s not going to happen. Not unless it’s an animation.”

She adds “a show can never be a reboot without the original cast.

The beloved cast originally included Martin Lawrence, Tisha and Tichina alongside Carl Anthony Payne III and the late Thomas Mikal Ford.

Both Tisha and Tichina agreed that the show could never be the same without Thomas also known as Tommy that passed away in 2016.

“Maybe, but as far as a reboot, I don’t think that’s going to happen,” says Tichina. “Tommy is no longer with us… This show is never going to be the same, it’s never and some things are best left alone.”

Though the idea of a Martin reboot hasn’t been completely tossed, would you all be hopeful for a reunion of some sort?
