Following the tragic loss of Hip Hop iconic legend DMX his family has spoken out to address circulating rumors and false narratives while warning fans of potential scams!

According to Yahoo News, DMX also known as Earl Simmons’ family released an official statement on Monday afternoon that reads, “There have been a few rumors following our loved one, Earl Simmons’, passing that we’d like to clear up.”

“No one has bought Earl’s masters. Additionally, we are not selling any merch or raising money for Earl’s funeral. If anyone is requesting for money for his funeral please be aware the person is a scammer. We will keep the public posted on funeral/memorial service arrangements.”

The family’s statement is in regards to a now viral post on social media that insists Jay- Z and Beyoncé are in the process of purchasing DMX’s masters for $10 million dollars.

Unfortunately there has been many misinformed blog posts, social media updates and more forwarded following DMX’s death. We advise you all to fact check all sources and only put your trust into reliable news and media outlets.
