Cousins!
Prior to his official exit from the White House Donald Trump utilized the final acts within his presidency towards the greater good. Talk about plot twist!
According to USA Today , the former President granted clemency to a total of 143 people early Wednesday morning including rappers Lil Wayne , Kodak Black .
Sources have confirmed that Trump forwarded a full pardon to Lil Wayne following federal charges for possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. As we previously reported Wayne could’ve faced nearly 10 years behind prison if he was convicted.
“Brett Berish of Sovereign Brands, who supports a pardon for Mr. Carter, describes him as ‘trustworthy, kind-hearted and generous,’ ” reads an official statement from the White House.
“Mr. Carter has exhibited this generosity through commitment to a variety of charities, including donations to research hospitals and a host of foodbanks.”
It has been indicated that Bill Kahab Kapri also known as Kodak Black had been sentenced to 46 months in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to weapon charges. However he was also granted clemency by Trump on January 20th.
A statement from the White House has noted that Kodak has commuted to, “numerous philanthropic efforts… such as providing educational resources to students and families of fallen law enforcement officers and the underprivileged. In addition to these efforts, he has paid for the notebooks of school children, provided funding and supplies to daycare centers, provided food for the hungry, and annually provides for underprivileged children during Christmas.”
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson also tweeted Trump directly advocating for Kodak’s freedom back on January 5th.
“Hey @realDonaldTrump @potus my friend @KodakBlack1k deserves to be commute. The system punished him way to hard for a paperwork crime #freekodak”
I Want To Thank The President @RealDonaldTrump For His Commitment To Justice Reform And Shortening My Sentence. I Also Want To Thank Everyone For Their Support And Love.
