#Cousins;
It has been almost four months since the horrific and senseless murder of Louisville, Kentucky resident #BreonnaTaylor. With numerous public figures and people around the world demanding justice for her life and arrest of the officers responsible, it has recently been announced that one out of the three officials have been fired!
According to BBC News, Mayor Greg Fischer has come forward Friday to state that Officer Brett Hankison has been terminated and stripped of his badge. Sources have confirmed that the other two responsible officers have only been placed on administrative leave with no further details at this time.
As we previously reported Breonna was murdered within her home as three Louisville police officers entered her house after being cleared to pursue a no knock warrant. It has been indicated that officials believed that Breonna’s home was being used to receive drug shipment from a gang. Breonna was named as one of three people on the issued warrant.
Within a forwarded statement by Louisville Police interim chief Robert Schroeder to officer Hankison he expressed the call for termination based solely off of conduct, “a shock to the conscience” that “demands your termination”.
Further reports note that Hankison is accused of “blindly” firing 10 rounds into Ms Taylor’s apartment, with the intent of “an extreme indifference to the value of human life”.
“I am alarmed and stunned you used deadly force in this fashion,” Mr Schroeder continues.
“The result of your action seriously impedes the department’s goal of providing the citizens of our city with the most professional law enforcement agency possible. I cannot tolerate this type of conduct by any member of the Louisville Metro Police Department.”
