It‘s no secret that #NewYorkCity continuously holds the title of obtaining the most #COVID19 confirmed cases within the entire country. Which has unfortunately lead to a major decline within medical supplies, hospital space and clearly overall options; as a Brooklyn based funeral home has recently been outed for harboring multiple deceased bodies within a U-Haul truck!
A total of 100 bodies were discovered within four U-Haul trucks outside of The Andrew Cleckley Funeral home in Brooklyn after a complaint was issued to officials pertaining to fluids drippings, reports CNN.
Sources have confirmed that the funeral home had became overwhelmed with clients due to the Coronavirus pandemic and ran out of room for bodies waiting to be cremated.
Reports read that one out of the four trucks were left unrefrigerated and the bodies were put on ice. Since then the funeral homeowner has received two summonses for foul odor by The Department of Environmental Protection.
It has been indicated that New York funeral home directors have been advised to utilize freezer trucks as they wait for burial space availability.
“Funeral directors are required to store decedents awaiting burial or other final disposition in appropriate conditions and to follow their routine infection prevention and control precautions,” states the New York State Health Department within a forwarded statement.
