Another day another potential lawsuit; #NorthCarolina rapper #DaBaby is currently receiving major heat and backlash after a now viral video has surfaced of him directly smacking a female concert goer!
According to TMZ, the incident took place took place Saturday evening at DaBaby’s “Up Close N Personal” tour stop in Whiskey North, Tampa. The video shows an unidentified woman waving her phone with the flash on within DaBaby’s direction to get a picture. He is then seen slapping the woman directly across her face and walking away.
Sources have confirmed that immediately following the incident, fans began to boo the rapper as they helped the woman. It has been indicated that DaBaby and his entourage exited the venue without the showcase ever taking place.
Multiple videos surfaced on social media quickly showing the incident from different angles. The rapper later uploaded a video to his personal Instagram with a caption that read, “ who know shawty government name so my lawyer can get active.”
Reports read that 911 was called and no active arrests were made. The apparent victim denied medical treatment and has stated that she wasn’t the person who was flashing the camera that it was actually the woman standing next to her. Since the incident took place she has taken legal action and hired the attorney of Matt Morgan.
Their office has forwarded an official statement to TMZ stating that,”Morgan & Morgan has been retained to represent the interests of Tyronesha Laws. Ms. Laws has received DaBaby’s Instagram message. We look forward to speaking with Mr. Kirk.”
DaBaby has since then apologized for his wrong doing, acknowledging that he made a mistake and that he must get use to the fame that he signed up for. He also states that he is willing to talk about the incident to the attorneys office.
